HomeDrive from Momentum offers exactly that service and is available to all car insurance policy holders. All you need to do is to book a driver, and they will arrive at the designated time with a backup driver so that you and your car get home in one piece.

 

How Many Trips?

You qualify for six free drives a year. Any trips over and above this will be at a discount rate.

Conditions

  • You may have three additional passengers as long as you are all going to the same address.
  • The trip must be within a radius of 50km and take less than an hour.
  • It is better to make a booking before 5 pm. If you make a last-minute booking, you need to allow at least an hour for pickup.
  • Only the car that is insured regarding the policy will qualify for pickup.

ConvenientDrive

An additional service that is offered under this program is ConvenientDrive – this is a service for those times when you only need someone to drive you somewhere. Like when your car needs to be repaired, or you need to be dropped off at the airport.

Bookings for this service ahead of time are essential.

How to Use HomeDrive

All you need to do is to call the call centre on 0860 784 767 to make a booking for the service. The centre is open from 8:00 am to 2:00 am.

The driver will wait for you at the predesignated spot for fifteen minutes. If you do not meet them there within this period, they will leave, and you will be charged a cancellation fee for the trip.

Cancellations Fees

When you cancel with at least two hours’ notice, they will charge no cancellation fee.

If you cancel with an hour’s notice, you will get a cancellation fee of R160.

If you cancel with less than an hour to go before the collection time, you will get a cancellation fee of R320.
